Hi and welcome to this week's 50 & Beyond Health & Wellbeing blog. Each week I will provide you with knowledge, tips, advice and recommendations to inspire you to sustain good metabolic health specific to being over 50. Chris Deavin, myHealthCoach
My Nutrition Advice; "What does it mean to eat healthy? What does it take to eat healthy? With any new client, I try and keep any nutrition advice simple. The science of nutrition can be very complicated. With a lot of information not necessary for the average person. If you want to start improving what you eat, I recommend keeping it simple."
My Exercise Tip; "Unless you truly love to exercise and it is just a part of who you identify as, then any break from doing it can be really difficult to start it up again. You will find any excuse to put it off even longer. Getting back on the exercise horse is your first objective. No matter how little or easy the exercise is, just get back to doing it."
My Lifestyle Suggestion; "If being healthy, fit and strong was easy to achieve and maintain, then society would be a lot healthier than it is currently. Let's cut to the chase. Being healthy in this modern world is really challenging. That is why you can't achieve this on your own. You need help. So surround yourself with other people looking to achieve the same. We are stronger together than apart."
My Mindset Building Strategy;
"People have hired me over the years as their health coach because they had a goal to better themselves. What I refer to as a purpose. They were driven to do things that would change them and make a difference. But it was the strength of their purpose that made the biggest difference. The stronger your purpose, the stronger the actions you will take to achieve it."
