I have recently read the book 'Why We Sleep: The New Science of Sleep and Dreams' by Matthew Walker and where I thought I knew how important sleep is to our overall health, this book drove home how little I did know about how much damage poor sleep can do to us and our long-term health and wellbeing.
The author describes sleep as the foundation that the pillars of nutrition and exercise stand on. So no matter how well you eat or how hard and smart you exercise, poor sleep will undermine all your good work.
If you are serious about achieving the best health you can, I strongly recommend reading this book. If you are not into reading a whole book on the science of sleep or you feel you don't have the time, I have attached a infographic on 'The Power Of Sleep' from our friends at PN Coaching. Take a few minutes to read it, as it just might be the most important thing you can learn about your health.
