Updated: Nov 14, 2022

Welcome to this week's Life Performance Blog. Each week I will share with you health articles, podcasts, workouts and the latest research when it comes to living a healthy life.

My aim is to help people become better informed, take action and move towards better health, a stronger body and mind, and take control back of their health and wellbeing.

This Week's Health Article: 10 Steps To Living Longer

Many of us are always on the lookout for what we can do or take to increase our life span. Who wouldn't want to live for longer (as long as we are in good health)?

But maybe the secret to living longer is in how we live our lives now. Maybe you are already doing what needs to be done. These 10 steps to living longer are not quick fixes. They require to be done consistently for the rest of your life.

So the real key to living longer might not be what the right things are to do but your ability to do them.

This Weeks Health Podcast: How To Prevent Insulin Resistance & Reverse Chronic Disease

This week's podcast is from The Genius Life with Max Lugavere & Benjamin Bikman.

This podcast is heavy on the science of insulin resistance and the chronic illness that comes from it, but it is highly informative, even if you don't suffer from insulin resistance, on how to prevent or reverse it. If you are looking for just tips and strategies, then jump to the last 30 minutes. They have an excellent wrap-up of all the crucial points.

This Week’s Health Research: The Toxic Truth About Sugar

Over the past 50 years, the consumption of sugar has tripled worldwide. In the United States, there is fierce controversy over the pervasive use of one particular added sugar — high-fructose corn syrup (HFCS)

But what impact does that have on our health? Is it possible to move away from high sugar consumption, or has the food we eat been captured by profit-making big industry?

This Week's Workout Recommendation:

Each week I will recommend a workout that, if performed multiple times through the week, will help you increase strength, cardio fitness, mobility and mental confidence. Depending on your access to equipment, change the exercises to suit but keep the workout protocol the same.
