myHealth Blog: The 4 Things Every Meal Should Have

Hi and welcome to this week's 50 & Beyond Health & Wellbeing blog. Each week I will provide you with knowledge, tips, advice and recommendations to inspire you to sustain good metabolic health specific to being over 50. Chris Deavin, myHealthCoach

My Nutrition Advice; "I have said this before and I will say it again. Don't overcomplicate your nutrition. Keep it simple. Simple to follow actions are more likely to be followed consistently, which is the key to any long-term good health. So when it comes to each meal, just follow some basic rules."

My Exercise Tip; "As we age, our ability to move efficiently decreases. That, in turn, requires us to use more energy, limiting how hard we can work. Not to mention our chances of getting injured and falling more often. The first we can do is to improve our posture. Our posture impacts the way we move. Better posture, better and more efficient movement."

My Lifestyle Suggestion; "What we eat, how active we are and how we manage stress is greatly influenced by our environment. What's around us. If you are not achieving the desired health, look at changing your environment. So it is easier for you to follow healthy habits and behaviours."

My Mindset Building Strategy;

"How much control do you have over what you do? The world we live in is full of many powerful influences. Are you really free to make the right food choices? Or are you choosing based on clever marketing that plays on human emotion? Or are you influenced to eat something based on what other people eat?"
