myHealth Blog: How To Stay In Shape When Busy

Updated: Apr 24, 2023

Hi and welcome to this week's 50 & Beyond Health & Wellbeing blog. Each week I will provide you with knowledge, tips, advice and recommendations to inspire you to sustain good metabolic health specific to being over 50. Chris Deavin, myHealthCoach

My Nutrition Advice; "One common error people make when trying to improve their health and get in better shape through nutrition is snacking. Snacking can sneakingly increase the number of calories you consume over a day. Snacking is predominantly caused by certain triggers. Where you are. Who you are with. How you are feeling. Look out for these triggers and be aware of how they make you feel."

My Exercise Tip; "One of the most common reasons people have given me over the years why they can't exercise. They are too busy. They only have a certain amount of time in their day. They just don't have the time to fit in exercise. The thing is. We always have time for the things we value the most. So next time you think to yourself, you don't have time. What you really are saying is, I don't value it enough."

My Lifestyle Suggestion; "No matter how much motivation you have to become healthy, fit and strong. If your environment isn't conducive to living that type of life, then all your effort and desire will be wasted. First, build an environment that makes it easy to be healthy, not one that relies on endless motivation to get things done."

My Mindset Building Strategy;

"Our results are always the result of the actions we perform. How we behave determines our actions. Not happy with the results you are getting? Then change your behaviours to ones that do produce the results you want."
