Privacy Notice

myHealthCoach is a small UK-based health coaching business. This notice explains, in plain English, what personal information this website collects, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. It is information about our practices, not formal legal advice.

Last updated: 14 August 2026

Who we are

myHealthCoach is a health performance coaching practice run by Chris Deavin, operating online. We are the data controller for the information described below. You can contact us at any time using the email address at the end of this notice.

What we collect

  • W.I.S.D.O.M. assessment responses — your answers to the 30 questions and the scores calculated from them.
  • Contact and context details you choose to give when you ask for your results: name, email address, and (where the form asks) phone number, country, age, gender, your health goal and the barrier you describe.
  • Enquiry content — anything you write to us by email.
  • Source attribution — campaign parameters in the link you arrived on (for example utm_source), the website that referred you, and the first page you landed on. This is stored in your browser and sent with an assessment submission; it contains no personal identifiers.
  • Anonymous journey events — a random session identifier stored in your browser, plus events such as starting the assessment, reaching the results step, or clicking a booking link. These are not linked to your identity unless you go on to submit your details.
  • Administrator sign-in data — for the private coach dashboard only, an authenticated account and session for Chris.

We do not ask for, and please do not send, detailed medical records, diagnoses or clinical test results through this website.

Why we use it

  • To calculate and give you your W.I.S.D.O.M. results and recommendations.
  • To reply to your enquiry and, if you ask, to arrange a call.
  • To run the coaching practice — reviewing submissions, preparing for calls and keeping track of enquiries in the private admin area.
  • To understand which pages and campaigns bring people to the site, so marketing effort is not wasted.

Lawful basis

Where you submit your details to receive results or recommendations, or ask us to email you, we rely on your consent and on taking steps at your request. Where we operate and improve the practice — responding to enquiries, keeping records of submissions, and understanding site and campaign performance — we rely on our legitimate interests in running a small business, balanced against your privacy. Optional analytics and attribution are only used where you have agreed to them. You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing us.

Service providers we actually use

  • Supabase — hosts the database and authentication behind the assessment and the private admin dashboard.
  • Google (Appointment Schedule / Calendar) — the booking calendar embedded on our Book a Call page. If you book, Google processes the details you enter there under Google's own terms.
  • Google (Gmail) — used to send assessment result and notification emails.
  • Riverside — hosts the podcast RSS feed and audio files. Playing an episode on our site streams the audio from Riverside's servers.
  • Apple Podcasts, Spotify and YouTube — we link out to these platforms. If you follow those links, their own privacy notices apply.

We do not use Google Analytics, advertising pixels or session-recording tools on this site.

Sharing and selling

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. We only share it with the providers listed above, so that the site and the coaching service work, or where we are required to by law.

How long we keep it

We keep assessment submissions and enquiry details for as long as they are useful for coaching, follow-up and business records, and then delete them. We have not set a fixed retention period; if you would like your data removed sooner, ask us and we will delete it unless we are required to keep it.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can generally ask us to give you a copy of the personal information we hold about you, correct it if it is wrong, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or provide it in a portable form. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office. To exercise any of these rights, email us — we will respond as promptly as we reasonably can.

Security and international transfers

Access to submissions is restricted to an authenticated administrator account, and data is transmitted over encrypted connections. Some of our providers operate infrastructure outside the UK; where that happens we rely on their own safeguards for international transfers.

Children

This site and the coaching service are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes and contact

We may update this notice as the site changes; the date at the top shows when it was last revised.
